Clinical Professor of Accounting, Penn State University
I am a Clinical Professor of Accounting at Penn State University's Smeal College of Business. My research and teaching focus on management accounting, cost accounting, strategic cost management, and the history of quantification and political theory.
I am also the Co-Founder of AKOUNT, an incredibly easy way to learn the basics of accounting by running a virtual business.
Recent Work
My book, "Beyond Economics and Ecology: the radical thought of Ivan Illich", was published by Marion Boyars Publishers in 2013. My research explores the intersection of accounting, economics, ecology, and political theory.
I have published extensively in leading academic journals including Accounting, Organizations and Society, Auditing: A Journal of Practice and Theory, and Public Administration Review.
